Breeder Plague: Chapter IV

The door was propped open.
“Oh, Fuck,” Thomas said. “This is it. This is when we get—“
“Thomas, I’m going to hurt you,” Mark told his friend. “Someone is in on the weekend. That’s it. Because do you see any cops? I don’t see any cops.
“Okay, but—“
“C’,mon.” With that, Mark walked into the lab, pulling the door open. “Hey Judy, it’s your most wonderful friend Mark! Wanna go out and get some lunch, I—achoo!”
Moments later, Thomas joined him in sneezing, and the sound was answered from deeper in the lab.
That sounds like Judy. Sneezing. Taking a deep breath, Mark walked further into the lab. There was no sign that anyone had noticed their little theft, but—
“Fuck me,” he said, staring.
One of the lab benches, one that had originally had a bunch of pots full of soil, was almost invisible under the vines and white blossoms of…
Fuck. Okay, okay, good news. If the stuff is growing like this here, we can just say some seeds floated into our dorm room.
“Judy?” Mark said again.
“Mark?” A coughing figure emerged from behind the table, waving her hands around to disperse the thick cloud of pollen that had filled the air. She sneezed again, almost setting Mark off.
Judy was short, with mouse-brown hair, big coke-bottle-style glasses that made her blue eyes look almost like something out of an anime, and a… well, a non-existent figure. “What are you doing here?”
“Hey, well, I saw that the door was open and I…”
“Wanted to see if you wanted lunch!” Thomas said.
“It’s a little early…” Melissa looked down and brushed some of the pollen off of her lab coat. I can’t believe this happened. Why, just yesterday, they were only seedlings!” She shook her head. I don’t know what happened. I came in today to check things out, and it looks like some of the seeds might have been spilled, but when I checked the growing plants… This! They’re already flowering and sending pollen out!”
“Odd. I hope none of those seeds floated out into the campus.” Mark smiled at the shorter woman. “Right?”
“I hope not. I mean, at the speed they grow, that’d be bad, like Kudzu!” Judy shook her head. “We’d get in so much trouble from the State Agricultural Department!”
“Yeah… that’d be terrible,” Mark said, losing his smile. “Good thing that didn’t happen, right Thomas?”
“Yeah.” Thomas nodded. “So, about lunch! I mean, it’s not like you can do anything and…”
Judy’s stomach made an abrupt grumbling sound. Judy blushed. “I um, yeah, for some reason I’ve been hungry today and the lunch I packed didn’t last long. I guess we can go get something to eat.”
“Right!” Mark said. “You know, let’s take the route by the sports complex. The quad’s a little crowded right now.” Especially with those goddamn flowers. Who thought this was a good idea? Right, you did. I wonder if the Agricultural Department can chuck my ass into prison?
“Um… okay. I can use some exercise.” Judy sneezed again. “And some fresh air.”
“Yeah.” Mark nodded, brushing some of the pollen off of his clothing. This is like a super concentrated pollen dose. Good thing none of us are allergic. “Don’t forget to lock the door. You don’t want anyone sneaking in.”
“Right!” Judy said, blushing as she glanced at Mark. “I’ll get the key!”
As she ran off, Thomas glanced at Mark. “Don’t want anyone sneaking in. Wow.”
“Hey, just reminding her that we’d never do anything like that.”
When they got to the cafeteria, Thomas blinked. “Looks sort of crowded.”
“Well, it’s not like the town has a ton of good places to eat,” Mark said. Then he blinked. It did look a little crowded.
Maybe people were storing food for the winter, or—his stomach grumbled. So did Thomas’ and then in response, Judy’s did as well.
She blushed and looked away. “I am sort of hungry.”
“Yeah…” Mark nodded. “So am I. Really hungry.”
They got in line and Mark round himself loading his plate with heavy food. Mashed potatoes, ham, even vegetables, and since when had he gone for that? Judy had even more food, to the point where Mark wondered where she was going to put it, while Thomas loaded up about as much as Mark had.
When they got to the table, Mark was…
Drooling. He blinked. What the fuck? But he was hungry as fuck. So were Thomas and Judy and they didn’t talk much as they just munched through their food like they’d been trapped on a desert island for ten years.
They didn’t stand out. As Mark finished his last plate, he looked around. A lot of people were eating a bit more than usual. Even Bonita’s crew, the cheerleaders evidently taking a break to get a not-so-light lunch.
“So, um, how long are the flowers gonna grow?” Thomas asked.
“I don’t know!” Judy said. “According to the old legend, they were good for a single “fertile season” and the priests would only plant a few. I um, guess that we much have planted more. The seeds are like, super small.”
“Yeah.” Mark said. “I bet they are.”
Thomas kicked his foot under the table.
“Not that I’d ever seen them, of course, you just told me about them.” Mark corrected himself.
“I know,” Judy said, then shivered. “I… I gotta go back to the lab.” She pressed her legs together and blushed. “I mean, to do stuff. Thanks!”
Jumping up, she turned and headed out of the crowded cafeteria, walking quickly as she dodged one of the girls from the drama club, evidently a little upset about how her T-shirt was fitting.
But that wasn’t the big thing.
“Is… Judy wiggling her ass?” Thomas asked.
Mark blinked and looked at Judy’s vanishing form as she went through the door. She was wiggling her ass a little bit. “Yeah, but that’s not the question you should be asking, Thomas.”
“Moue Judy is finally discovering sex? That’s not a question?”
“Nah. How is it she has an ass to wiggle? Judy’s like, got nothing in back.”
“Not much up top.”
“Nope. So where did that ass come from?”
