The process when making "Go on a date with Dannie at Cafe"

1. Inspired

When searching reference from Danbooru, I found artist named Noah and his beautiful art.

I always want to to this collage style for Dannie, so I get my pen and start working.

2. Rough Phase

The problem with both Dannie and Freya is that their main feature is their enormous breasts. Which is hard to "fit in" when you making a compact art with multiple figure in it.

The breast needs its own space, because it is the main subject and it should not disturb the composition and still making the art look pleasing to look at.

I use the generated images as a reference to block in the compositions and to tell the rough stories. Most of the time it is mostly resize the breast, changing poses left and right, wondering if the poses are useful and removing them if not.

Believe me, Its make this part easier, spend time creating poses and erase it and do it again and again is hard, using reference images and use it as rough poses and blocking make it easier.

After several tries and blocking and searching for good poses and compositions to use, I ended up with this sketch.

3. Refinement and Finishing up

To be honest, sketching phase is harder than than lineart and rendering. Other than thinking what color for her jacket and cloths, fixing the cloths, resize her hand and some Background adjusment, this part is automatic busy work. No thought, just draw.

Oh, the background is just one of my downloaded reference that I paste in, its an after thought, one of my artist friend tell me not to make the BG white.

So, Yeah, I wanna tried out this blogging the work process I did and I hope you guys like it.
