2019-05-20 04:09:54 +0000 UTCThat guy's storyline got cut in Brotherhood (the mustache man with scar). In the original FMA there were a couple of episodes spent dealing with him early in the series. That's why it felt weird when he said Ed and Al should remember him. I guess the writers wanted to keep some of that in but brought it back in a short flashback instead.
