Added 2019-05-29 12:30:00 +0000 UTC......I knew this was coming, but I would've never expected to feel like this...T.T As much as the show's story differs from the movies, I was expecting L to die, but to actually see it happen broke me! Farewell beautiful genius....I will miss you a LOT...T.T

Idk why they didn't add it but in the manga, at the last moment before L died he quietly whispered "I knew it was you. I always knew it was you." Something along those lines. It just adds so much, because it showed that he too had fallen because all this time L just wanted a friend and finally found one akin to himself in Light. He really didn't want Light to be Kira, but his instincts just always told him that he was indeed Kira. It was such a tragic end but a fitting end to our beloved detective. At least he died peacefully with the final moment of satisfaction knowing that he was right all along. I was shocked and also gained respect for the show/manga that they had the balls to kill off the second main character half way through the story. Truly shows that sometimes evil wins.
