Subaru's love for Emilia not being entirely organic is actually a pretty solid theory within the fandom, which gets stronger with Season 2. Although there's also the fact that she was the very first thing he saw in the new world and the person who saved him first, which is bound to leave a HUGE impression on someone (in the novel, he only admired her up until the lap pillow, and that's where he realized he really fell in love with her). Half of the villagers going to "Sanctuary"... the setup for Season 2 is there. :) and good points about how Subaru helped Emilia! Can't wait for the finale!
