2020-07-02 04:13:40 +0000 UTCIvar truly never meant to kill Sigurd. Alex plays it so well too, the shock and realisation on his face after hes already threw the axe is clear as day. He just lost it for a split second, blinded by rage he lost control and that's something Ivar never wants (Losing control). Yes they both didn't like each other but Ivars bad feelings for him only came from Sigurds hate, torment and resentment towards Ivar. Not Ivars fault hes a cripple, was saved by Aslaug and was her favourite. Also I never really liked anything about Sigurd, hes always moaning, laughing about Ivars falling and not been able to sleep with women. The other brothers clearly fear Ivar but also wouldn't want to or enjoy tormenting him. If Sigurd truly believed Ivar was crazy and had a mind of a child why say all that to him in front of people, and the keep going if u believe hes crazy. Any normal person would snap eventually, even Ubbe tried to calm Ivar, he saw him losing it. Ecbert wasnt king and just like Ragnar, I believe he played the vikings one more time so he could get a humane death. Ivar should of blood eagled him but I wouldn't if enjoyed it like I did Aellas death. And Sigurd was wrong saying Ivars splitting up the brothers, Bjorn had already decided to leave them and do his own thing Ubbe wants to farm so why cant Ivar raid and do what he wants. And No the priest who baptized Ragnar was from paris and Ragnar slit his throat in 3x10 finale after jumping out of his coffin lol Ivar is impulsively violent and that's what happened with the child too when he was little, he didn't realise what he did until after he did it. Ivar isnt just gonna kill his brothers now, he was pushed and pushed, it wasnt intentional and Ivara actions also didnt come from nowhere, it's not like he axed Ubbe. Also Bjorn already has his men from the great army and they will be bring over farmers and families to settle eventually but niether of those things will really make a dent in the great army ladies.
