Oh man!! I didn't even make the connection D: he does mention this particular situation a few times...I really love to think that his love for his brother/guilt about his death didn't just disappear because he told himself he didn't care! That would prove it ):

2020-07-12 01:48:58 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite details that's easy to miss on the first watch is that saving people from a burning building is brought up twice in these later episodes. First with the scam with Huell, and now Jimmy's plan to save a judge from a fire in this episode. Jimmy might want others to believe that he doesn't care, and he probably consciously believes it himself, but on some level there is still a part of him that desperately wishes he could've saved his brother.

However, remember Gus also told Hector all the Salamancas are now dead and the name will die with him. Just like Nacho, we can't take Saul's comments as proof Lalo is alive or dead in BB.
