This is why Acker rubs her the wrong way. He pegs her as a rich elite who doesn't care about the little guy, and it is forcing her to confront who she is at work vs who she wants to be (the Mesa Verde vs pro bono public defense clients has been her conflict since season 3). Acker not believing her story puts her in the same position as Jimmy... People will see her that way no matter what.

2020-07-19 19:27:25 +0000 UTCFor what it's worth, I don't feel like Kim is lying. Everything we've been told about her backstory and characterization syncs up with her being poor. There is more vague evidence later on, but for my money I think it is genuine
