I'd like to join in with the previous comment - the next one is an exceptional episode. For me, might be even my favourite Sherlock episode. I'm really hoping you will have time to get around to it sooner than the usual 1 month break :)

2020-07-28 00:30:29 +0000 UTCI agree that his taunting her didn't help, but John wasn't there when he did that, so as much as I can understand where the anger (and the guilt) might come from, I'm still having a hard time accepting it all being focused at Sherlock 😅 but I'm also pretty biased on this one, so yeah...;)

2020-07-28 00:22:57 +0000 UTCNorbury is the last name of the secretary lady. Sherlock believes, rightly so in my opinion, that his taunting of her led to Mary being shot. If he hadn't been doing his usual showing off she might not have gotten so worked up and desperate. Mary tried to tell him to stop, but in his usual style, he kept right on. That's why John blames him, and I get it. I also disagree about the "almost" cheating. He did cheat. Emotional cheating is still cheating. I've been married for 15 years and if I found out my husband was secretly texting another woman, it would be ugly. lol I think too, though, that some of John's reaction is transference. He feels guilty and is taking advantage of the opportunity to push that off on Sherlock.

2020-07-27 22:17:16 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting so long for this! Yeah, that was shocking. I cried when I first watched this one. The awkward thing, too, is that Martin Freeman and Amanda Abington had recently split up before this series filmed. They both spoke about how strange her death was for them to film. I haven’t watched the reaction yet, but wanted to comment on that bit first. 🙂
