Ubbe was right to leave it had nothing to do with pride. He wants what Ragnar wanted, a place with good land for his people. Ivar wants to rape, pillage and conquer, things Ragnar came to realize weren't worth it and were unsustainable in the long run and Ubbe realized that. Hvitserk is actually weak and follows the loudest strongest voice regardless of good or bad.

Ragnar was a younger brother and was in charge plus Ragnar wouldnt let his brother stop him from doing what he wants just like Ivar. Ubbe should of just tried supporting him. The Ivar the boneless scene is epic and so powerful, Ivar is how Christians imagine Vikings to be lol The slave girl and Ivar was important and meant a lot to him because he could tell she was into him and not repulsed or forced like he believes all women will see him as nothing or not good enough. Hence why he said to her "I dont understand" He saw she was being genuine and freed her. It wasn't just the words, it was that she believed it. And she may be a free woman now but Ivar did also tell her to leave, hes still the boss lol The ending when Ivars shouting at Ubbe, it wasnt to be a dick but actually because hes Hurt and angry. U can see it in Ivars face, he gets upset about him choosing to leave him when turns it to anger and shouts at him watch Alex's face, its subtle but so good. Ubbe is a lovely man but annoyed me this episode and was completely wrong to leave and ignore Ivars warning. Ivar didn't split them up Ubbe just did by leaving and before that Bjorn. Ivar may not need his brothers but he truly would of loved for them to stay and be on his side. All the sons are honouring Ragnar in their own ways.
