Ivar i noticed is so much calmer and wiser this season, even from episode 1 i noticed such a change, his need for revenge on Lagertha that constantly haunted his dreams and days doesn't seem to be much of problem for him anymore, Ivar couldnt escape it before. Although im sure he still cares alot about his mothers murder. Glad u noticed a difference in him. And that guy he wanted killed wasnt really unreasonable or him being how he was as a ruler, more like Ivar being smart, observant and careful. Plus Ivar was right since that guy, told the Rus about him for money.
