Continuing my hiatus into May (+ other news)

Hey guys, I've got some news for you.

The short of it is that I'm continuing my hiatus into next month - May.

Here's the longer answer explaining why:

I've actually got several reasons that have led me to this decision.
Recently I lost my job... again... They just couldn't afford to pay someone that had JUST joined the company, which is understandable.
It's just really sucky this has happened like 3 times in the space of a year...

There is good news for me though cus in between all this covid-19 sutff I have been "scouted" (thanks to a connection I had in Japan) to potentially work for a company in Japan.
I can't really disclose doing what, but it means I may have to completely stop doing this whole side business I've got going on.

Due to the nature of the job I had to disclose this patreon. They were dubious at first, but they made it clear that if I started working I'd need to ditch my Patreon at the very least. Sure it sounds drastic, but considering the job I understand it completely.
So I'm basically waiting to hear what they say in regards to this patreon and if the job makes it through corporate.

The second reason is just because... I don't want to animate anymore.
I woke up this morning in a cold sweat because I just simply couldn't face making another animation. I really, really don't want to, and I didn't want this month to end because of that.

Now that is a horribly bad sign. It means that I've just purely lost all my enjoyment, and while I could force it I feel that would be lying to you guys and I really don't want to do that.

I'm sure this will pass, but for now... I'm taking a break.

At the end of the day, without a job and without Patreon I'll be basically broke so I've got to make up my mind by the end of this month. And here's where I'll be perfectly transparent: I'd much rather move to Japan and do that new job for 3x the money I make on Patreon. I'm sorry, that's just the way it is.

I'm still at the mercy of Covid-19 though, and if this isn't over by the time June starts I'll be resuming as normal. However, if the job goes through corporate (which they said it most likely will) I'll be moving the moment they give me a visa.
So... yeah.

Now you're caught up. I'm sorry if this is a disappointment for you guys.
