My dad has COVID, I need to take tonight off
Added 2023-01-02 03:18:38 +0000 UTCI'm finishing a 48 hr commission and then I'm headed to bed. I did three paintings today. I wanted to finish the colored sketch rewards I have sketched out. But I genuinely do not have it in me. Barely keeping it together at my desk and I can't see well.
My father is older. He is not vaccinated. He is not very healthy. He's had meningitis twice and I am afraid that I may not get to speak to him again if I don't tomorrow. My grandma has COVID too but she is vaccinated. Nearly my whole family is sick.
I'd rather overreact and find out he's fine than work myself to the bone and assume he will be fine, then sleep 12 hours, only to wake up find out he wouldn't be.
I'm really sorry. I want to do better. I'll do better tomorrow.
