Upcoming Price Adjustment

Hey folks, first and foremost thank you for your support as always. I've been deliberating on this for months and I think now's the time to just bite the bullet and announce that I'm retiring the $12 Peach Pie sketch tier and relaunching it with an increased price of $20 instead.

As it currently stands I do 17 sketches a month for $12 each. I charge $30 typically for sketch commissions of this specific grade meaning I offer sketches through Patreon for less than half of what I charge individual commissioners on Twitter. This is a substantial discount, and altho I enjoy offering it to you guys the reality is that the amount of work for the money I make is just incredibly hard to deal with. The art begins to suffer as I prioritize speed and I fixate on just getting things done as fast as I can so that I can finish them all in time before the month ends and even then I struggle insurmountably. 

Getting all these sketches done has become an incredible challenge and many nights of the month when I'm not home and I'm standing somewhere like the self-checkout of a grocery store I watch the total rack up on the register while I'm buying food thinking about two things: all the sketches I still need to finish, and the never-ending debt I accumulate just trying to survive. I unfortunately do not have the mental or physical fortitude to continue offering sketches at this price to so many people at once, especially given that the average sketch for me takes roughly four hours to complete. That's approximately 68 hours a month spent drawing sketches at a rate of $3 per hour. As a result I have to unfortunately make this change as a general necessity, both for my own well-being and so I can continue to provide you guys with new artwork.

This following month of October will be the last month for $12 sketches. At the end of October the $12 Peach Pie tier will be deleted and anyone who is still pledged to the tier will NOT be automatically removed as per Patreon's functionality- I cannot change this unfortunately as the Patron themself has to change tiers. It is my responsibility to inform you all of this and I accept that responsibility- I will be messaging you also throughout the month about this to try and ensure that nobody is accidentally charged going forward. Patrons still pledged to the $12 tier after the tier is deleted enter "No Tier" status and, for some bizarre reason on Patreon's behalf, continue to be charged their previous amount unless they switch tiers. I cannot change or correct this so I will do everything I can to ensure everyone is moved over as quickly as possible.

If you can't afford a $20 sketch and need to cancel your pledge it is completely okay. By no means will I be angry or upset, I am increasing the pricing for financial reasons so I totally understand. I expect cancellations. I ask that you consider migrating to a lesser tier such as Peach Smoothie if you can so that you can continue receiving the other benefits such as seeing sketches and hi-res uploads. I will also begin running monthly polls for a specific character and Patrons of all tiers will have the ability to vote in those polls. These polls will be for fully-rendered and complete character drawings determined by your votes.

I apologize both for the circumstances and the giant wall of text and like I said above I will be reaching out periodically throughout the month to try and get everything situated with everyone. Thanks again to you all for supporting me, your help has been insurmountable and paid for many bills. It's thanks to you that I've been able to visit the doctor and the dentist, it's thanks to you that I've been able to continue to use my cell phone, it's thanks to you that I've been able to feed myself, etc. Whether you continue to support me or not I thank you regardless for the support you've graciously shared with me.
