Early Access Video: Build a Steambox

We're back to long-form content!
This week, Rob and I are back to the chair build and we're making a steam-box. Our design is cheap, easy and fast. You can knock it out in half a day and get to work bending your chair parts. All the details are in the video.
The plans for this box will only be released to the public at the end of the build, but we'll have an exclusive early set of plans just for Patrons, and those will be up next week.

2024-09-14 18:39:45 +0000 UTCHahahaha so many times I've not paid attention and wondered why the bit wasn't cutting. The struggle is real. The other reason I've found for using thicker pvc is so the pipe doesn't shatter while drilling it, ask me how I know. Great side project, thanks again.

Could you use a larger PVC pipe then you could put in larger thicker wood to bed or is there a size that you shouldn't go beyond when steaming and bending wood? Do you have a link for the steam box to look up info? Not sure what's available Downunder here in Australia. Great to see you excited about your work. Have you tried Bluetooth wireless mics? I have a set and they work pretty well, sometimes your voice seems a bit distant than in to a microphone pickup. I bought a set of Boya off Aliexpress to use with my Gopro 11 or 10, I have 2. I am going to put the 10 in my car to tape in case I'm stopped by police. We don't have the problems here with car stops like happen in parts of the US as we don't have as huge a gun problem here. There are still armed criminals but usually they are more gang related families shooting each other in ambushes. Quite scary and traumatic at times with children in the cars getting shot up.
