Added 2018-10-16 00:18:47 +0000 UTCFor ages now I've been messing with this recreated piece of footage. Sometimes I go back to it with new techniques and ideas to experiment on the final look, so I could implement some of those effects into my newest animations.
"Game Over" already uses a variation of this effect, but to the simplest form. This one is a bit more complex. The brightest colors possess a glow of their own which is then attenuated with the correct blending mode.
This is what we call a "Bloom" Effect. There's different ways to do it, this is just a very specific one. Hopefully this little trick excites you as much as it excites me - Post Production, if done right, is like the icing on the cake for any animation. Just look at the difference between "Raw" and "Dream"! My goal is to start implementing this effect to all my animations, to give you all something worth waiting for.
