The post edit system is annoying

...if your first thought was "pray," bad news: I've already conclusively proven that doesn't work. Oddly, randomly clicking elsewhere on the text window does seem to work. Occasionally. Or maybe that's just coincidence. Trying to paste a bit of non-formatted text in order to continue from there mostly leads to rediscovering how picky the pasting system likes to be.
Okay, I've set the post so that everyone can view it. But there's a small error which got past me before I put it up, and now it's in the front page text. Let me edit that out -- and the post has now spontaneously flipped itself to be viewed by Patrons Only. Better edit that and reset the tag -- oh, look: the link I originally placed in the post duplicated itself. So now I have to go back in and edit that out. Which means the view tag switched itself again. Oh, and each edit re-duplicates the link, so I have to make sure I erase that on every pass. And make no additional mistakes, because that just leads to more edits, more tag switches, and more link duplications...
