I apologize for the delays on this one. It's a case of Things Having Come Up (not all of which Came Up with me) and having to use some time for helping others when I had been expecting to have it for writing. The story also wound up being a little longer than I thought it would be, coming in at ten chapters -- but as promised, for this story, that's only one total charge -- and as usual with me, some things came in along the way, scenes and material which might have been there all along, but didn't choose to reveal themselves until they reached a keyboard.
It just went visible in the New column. All forty-three thousand words of it.
I hope it was worth the wait.
