New one-shot story: Cut, Color, Carat, Clarity

So for starters: I'm going to try and do two more things before March runs out: these will potentially be story updates. (However, if it winds up as one or two new short pieces, then I promise here and now that April will be a double-update month for Triptych.)

And for secondary: whatever goes up, it's probably going to be shorter. This piece is four chapters and just under 20k on the total word count. I think I've been providing Verbiage For The Pledge Buck this month. But at the same time, it's not a pace I can maintain.

So if the next two things average out to 5k or so each? That's why. In terms of raw typing, I got ahead. In terms of strength remaining, the tank needs a refill. I just hope everyone understands.

And with that said: this is a story meant as a direct sequel to Tricks Of The Trade Show. It's about the first meeting between Rarity and Pinkie, from the former's point of view. And in some ways, you could say it's another AU sort of story, because it's not only following up on those events, it's using Pinkie's background from the 'verse.

But still... here and then, this was how it happened.

One crackfic and two trips into the past. So far, it's been a really weird month.
