24-hour ban from FIMFiction
Added 2017-04-28 23:44:18 +0000 UTCFor having posted a second story (yes, the one below. Perhaps needless to say, that's now a no-charge) which wasn't connected enough to the show for site standards, added to the verbal slugfest I had with another user a while back. With no way to write something on the site itself, I'm posting here and on Twitter: hopefully someone looks.
The ban is supposed to lift in one day, which of course is plenty of time for someone to put the YouTube video on my user page. *shrug* It's the expected thing, and I won't get mad about it. But there's potentially going to be a massive party on FIMFic tonight, and a few choruses of Ding-Dong, The Witch Is Dead are probably just about mandatory.
If the ban lifts, I'll return and get back to work.
If it doesn't... as Billy Pilgrim said, so it goes.

2017-04-29 00:32:12 +0000 UTCWorth being banned for? It's hard to say. I thought it might be outside the submission standards, but the boundary lines aren't always easy to see. At worst, I was expecting a rejection, not a shutdown. Freedom of speech includes the freedom to take the consequences for what you say-- but in this case, I didn't anticipate what the exact backlash would be.
