New one-shot story: Yellow Immortality

He made a comment on a blog post which got me thinking, gave me permission to use the idea, and... well, less than a day from concept to what's just over a 6k story on the word count. It happens that way sometimes: you think of something, and then you immediately clear the queue in case you think of something else.
This story marks a dual special occasion for me: it's my first Horror tag use (because after I felt where the story was going, it felt justified), and it's also a partial crossover with a fresh milleu, one it seems as if every fanfic writer must intersect once just through being a fanfic writer. So here's mine: quota met, and here's hoping the downvotes for doing it are kept at the normal flow.
Regardless, I'm expecting the reactions for this one to be a little... weird.
But at least it's out of the queue.
