Great reaction, though 2 things, without spoiling of course.
1.When a heroic spirit is summoned, they are not taken out of their timeline. All spirits eligible to become a heroic spirit, after they die in real life, they are sent to the Throne of Heroes and basically are just there until they are summoned, and once dying in a war, its back to the Throne of Heroes. No disruption in their historic timeline whatsoever.
2. As far as summoning without a catalyst goes, that is explained in Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blades Works.
3. Iskandar is the lesser known name of Rider used in Eastern texts, his Western Name that you would know him as is something else.

couple thing with no spoilers, 1. servants are outside of time and the world, the grail pretty much give's them form from human imagination which is why some servant's can be summoned under multiple classes. 2. the reason so many people look like saber is the artist likes to draw that style face hence the meme saberface.

They become heroic spirts after death I’m pretty sure. So it’s basically like they r dead until they r summoned.
