Episode one is I’m pretty sure I don’t remember episode 2. But this series was sponsored like late winter and now we’re getting to it.

I mean. The author was a member of the JSDF so I think it’s safe to say it’s faiiirly historically accurate lol 🤔

A bit more information, but what they gave up was basically a standing army and the right to initiate war. They still have a de facto military and forces with which to defend themselves, thus the Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF). Though it is up to the interpretation of their constitution, and article 9 in particular, just how much that limits their activities...
Also, Rory best girl!

No. Those are the JSDF, i.e Japanese forces, as Japan is only allowed to have a self-defense force; it's just that the reason the US supplies them with extra troops that the Japanese themselves wouldn't technically be allowed to have, is because it's one of the key points for US in case China needs to be yeeted. There are some American bases, Japanese bases and many Joint-Op bases between the 2 in Japan.
