I'm glad to support this channel. Plz keep up the great work and keep us informed...

Aaron, before you start swapping springs I would take a look at extractor tension. 9mm 1911/2011 extractors can be tricky.

Wonder if the grip module is flexing more because of the “thinner” for lack of a better word is causing issues with single hand shooting. Would an aftermarket grip module solve this problem

Jon Pickering

Thanks for the video Aaron, the 6" is interesting as no one really makes a long slide these days. Might get one of these as my first 2011 type pistol.

Sounds like a great start if wanting to get into 2011’s. I’d like to at some point, but for the cost (and I know it’s a not a direct comparison) I’m having a real hard time not just buying a Sig P226 Legion SAO.

David

looks good

I'm willing to bet the screws are metric, like an M3 or something.

The MAC is the upgraded brother to the Tisas B9R DS. Totally different company. I have several Tisas 1911's. They are pretty great.

Sam Blevins

man, saw "2311" in the title and thought it was the full OA Defense review.

The optic footprint doesn't seem very deep compared to some 1911s/2011s I've seen. I wonder if it could be re-milled to fit other optics, I want to learn how to build 1911s/2011s and this seems like it would be a better candidate for over the Poor-digy. That optic footprint is the biggest turn off at the moment

Wyatt LeBlanc

Great vid! I think the MAC 1911 Double Stack (that released at SS24) is the “upgraded” brother to the Girsan. Would love to see that review too.

@Will-Maurice4K

Thanks for doing this, Aaron.
