9400 words on this one, and --
-- I'm not sure just what this exhaustion is.
Part of it is physical: writing can be a draining act. I've been going for hours. But a good deal is emotional. This chapter contains one of the scenes which, on a very real level, I've been afraid to confront. Something where I got one shot at doing the images in my head some level of justice. It could have potentially frozen me for a while -- but I pushed, and so it's up.
A lot of things happen in this chapter. For starters... I've said we're in endgame. That's been true for a while now. But at this point...
I can see the finish line.
And it scares me.
Stick the landing. Or the stumble will be all anyone ever remembers.
