The CDA pieces tend to earn their Dark tag, and I consider this one to have met the minimum shadow requirement with room to spare. And posting about 9400 words which, in their way, have a little to do with religion -- with the story effectively going up on Christmas... well, the CDA pieces also tend to get their downvotes. I'm not expecting this story to be any different.
(Honestly, I'm hoping not to lose followers on this one.)
Just remember this: it isn't always what the writer believes, but it's generally what the writer was thinking about. (Also, the writer is having some RL problems and arguably isn't in the best mood.) And today, I was thinking about the darker side of faith. In a day or two, if I'm lucky enough to find more quiet hours, I may be thinking about Rarity and Applejack's one-and-only second grade teamup.
Writers are silly that way.
