It's probably not a coincidence that the story wound up partially being about horrible things happening because you cared enough about maintaining your own sanity to risk leaving the house. *sigh* Well, at least this may mean I might be figuring out how to channel some of this...
Just under 6500 words on this one, and it's the concept I couldn't find the strength to work on at the end of last month: the idea that with just about every infant pony going through those random displays of magic (see Pinkie Vs. The Cake Twins), there would be parents who were going to need some help. Turn foalsitting into a potential high-risk profession while still having it be filled by teenagers, and there's your comedy. I even got to throw in a last-line reference for the long-time 'verse readers.
(And no, I don't understand why the art for Multi-Factor Authentication is showing up there. Maybe it's the universe's revenge for my not having used a picture of a power strip.)
Next up... I've been thinking about starting a new ongoing story. It seems as if a fair number of people want a direct look at the early days of any prospective dates between Applejack and Snowflake. So...
