Well, that escalated quickly.
Truthfully? I didn't think this one would catch on, certainly not to this degree. I felt it would be closer to the more limited audience of a CDA story: just those who knew the original work and liked the character. Apparently I underestimated the appeal of a knight carrying a sword.
So for medical status, I'll post a mini-update here: the discharge may be tomorrow. (I'm not happy about that because this facility is about as good at communication as a corporate press release: I don't know anything about what's been found, and no one will talk to me.) That leaves me stuck in the hospital from early morning until Whenever Someone Tells Me, and that meant I had to try and marshal myself. It's not just the bill: it's sitting in a cold hospital -- probably in the cafeteria -- for hours and trying to work on a keyboard where my ratio of words to errors is, at best, 2:1.
About 6600 words for this chapter, and the story starts to move towards its next stage. The one where I get to bring in some extant character tags.
No prizes for accurate guesses.
