Let's just say it's been a rough month. (See blog for some of the details. I won't link because I'm guessing most of you already have.) And because it's been such a rough month... I'm going to be trying to work within what time remains. Which already has two doctor's appointments to work around, plus one possible funeral attendance on Monday. (The funeral is locked in. The attendance isn't quite certain yet.)
So this story updates today, and I'm hoping to get another update on something in tomorrow. (Possibly this story again, possibly Anchor Foal. We'll see where my creativity lies.) It's less recovery time between pieces than I usually give myself, but -- it's been a rough month, and I'm running low on calendar. If I feel like I'm composing something substandard, I'll erase and start over. With the way things have been going, yesterday would have produced nothing worth pledging for and, for that matter, nothing worth reading for free. Today, I feel like I managed to get Quality Control online. Tomorrow, I push. And if I can manage that, it'll give me Monday free for the funeral itself, with some degree of 'on track' to hope for before July hits and a tiny amount of temporal wiggle room for those appointments.
Just short of 6000 words on this chapter: something which sees Equestria introduced to a new type of metallurgy. The training is paused so the forging can begin. And when it comes to that forging...
There have been those in the comments who've noted that with Cerea's sword, the process of creating plastic requires using so much death as to virtually be necromancy.
The trend continues.
