As I was saying on Twitter, it's amazing how someone who's 6'7" and moving on hooves can manage to sneak up on you. It's been noticed that this story passed the word count on A Mark Of Appeal some time back. And to honor that, it's time for the previously-scheduled-no-really appearance of an old friend from that story. Because let's face it: when it comes to 'verse OCs, this has been Old Home Week for a very long time.
Just short of 9k for the word count on this round, which includes two dream sequence flashbacks because people always need something to be mad about and so dream sequence flashbacks. Plus maybe it'll get them to stop talking about the other things. I have existed in a state where I was afraid to post a chapter because someone would debate the contents, and I am now posting chapters to make them talk about something else.
Chapbook writing. Whee.
Sometimes I really wish I could get a look at Charles Dickens' mail. I'm not comparing myself to him on quality and skill in any way. I just want to know if his readership was regularly trying to second-guess his plot twists three orphans in advance.
