Second update: Daily Equestria Life With Monster Girl

I know:  this post doesn't line up with half of the publication timing, because there's two chapters in this update.  The problem was that it was originally meant to be one.  And there may be another chapter yet to come this month, as our centaur might insist on being the one who gallops towards the border into September. (Patreon exclusive sneak preview:  whenever it appears, the title of that next chapter will be Conspiratorial.)

I originally thought that everything could go in a single long chapter.  But the first section had a natural break point:  the sort of thing which demanded that I end the chapter right there, because to do anything else was a disservice to story and readers.  That's happened before, and I've honored what seemed to be the story's request.  It's just that...  in this case, the natural break point came when I was somewhat short of 4400 words.  And you know the local rules:  I don't hit the Charge For This Post button unless I'm publishing at least 5k.

Six hundred words of padding was not an option.  (Given that we weren't in the smithy, neither was six hundred words describing the padding-out of armor.)  So I just posted what I had, put a second chapter up a few minutes ago -- and that brought things to about 9000 words between them.  That's enough to justify hitting the button, so -- here we are.  And I still have to do some minor adjustments on the first of the pair, because it was written entirely on the tablet:  the majority of the second was composed using the desktop.  This does things to the dash marks.  Like combining them.

...right:  written entirely on the tablet.  Those who've been around a while have probably already guessed at another hospital stop, and if you did?  Congratulations.  Same place Waiting Doom II was written, although I couldn't get the same chair.  But this one was just an overnight stay before she was turfed, so...  more to review in the blog, if things ever pause long enough for me to get an entry up.  Short version is an abrupt hearing loss which led into a cardiac test which brought her to the door.

Today, I got the chance to finish this section of the story.  I'm hoping to get the last entry for August up on the 30th, because she's seeing a doctor on Monday.  And yes, I know that this turns the dog days of summer into an All-Update Month.  I'll just hope to get a one-shot or two up in September -- and something major may be launching this autumn.  It's partially a question of how many balls I can keep in the air.

Also, I just made a plan which involves more than the next three hours.  Out loud, in public.

Let's see how long it takes before the universe starts to laugh.
