It wound up being the Lyra & Bon-Bon piece. It also wound up being about a third longer than I thought it would be: I'm not exactly great at estimating story length before starting composition, but I was not expecting this one to come out at a 10k word count.
It's a 'verse story, and that means we tilt a little further into AU. (No secret agents here, thankee.) It's also about holidays, the day after holidays, and the talks which couples don't have. Maybe that's why it took so many words to say things, because when two mares aren't really talking, the text has to do it for them.
For those hanging on for Cerea: I hope to have an update as the first posting of May. (There are currently somewhat less medical appointments for May. I have very little hope of seeing that maintain.) And for those reading this: the next step/scene will be the sisters figuring out where to go from here, with no current road back and a cell unfair for one who has committed no crime. She can't stay locked away forever and even if she could, somepony's eventually going to learn that the palace is keeping a centaur...
Oh, and I have to get Anchor Foal going again. It's easier now that Triptych is wrapped up: I don't have to be quite as subtle with my hints.
But I've been writing for about eight hours. For now, I sleep.
And in about two weeks, I pay for a laser to be medically used in what would normally be a rather unexpected location.
My life is weird.
