Well, there were worse options.
Just over 5k on this one, which starts the process of bringing our main characters back into the same area -- if only for a very brief moment. (I can safely say the next chapter goes right back to Snowflake, and both he and AJ will wind up in Ponyville. You can work out your own dread from here.) This chapter is mostly about Applejack coming to a realization about the sibling relationship. She's still confronting things -- but the other half of that confrontation will belong to another.

As predicted, this is going to be an update-heavy month. Ideally, the next thing I want to do is get Anchor Foal flowing again: this means tomorrow is set for a full reread. (I have to get Fleur's voice foremost in my head, especially after so much time with AJ and Cerea.) The new chapter should hopefully follow soon after, and then we close May with a second Duet update.
