A Duet For Land And Sky: Complete.

And so other things begin.

(I really wish I'd found cover art.)

In the end, this was both a bridge and a fracture story.  It's starting the process of carrying us towards the next major work, and it's also a series of break points for the status quo.  As much as the end of Triptych constituted a shattering, Duet shows how some of the pieces began to land.  And this strange little 'verse contains many things -- but none of them were installed as a reset button.

Roughly 8100 words closed this one out, putting the story's total length at 127k.  And in the end, you could say it's a series of very small, rather local changes -- but vibrations can spread.  Tectonic plates shift:  that was part of the short description, and the words weren't chosen casually.

Things change.  We aren't fully working in the background any more, playing in the space between episodes.  Yes, that could still happen on occasion -- but for the most part, I'll try to move forward.

And now?   I take what long walks may be left to me.  I open a new notes file.  And in time, I hope to show everyone the most important thing:  what happens next.

You could almost say I have a glimmer of hope...

A Duet For Land And Sky: Complete.
