Somehow, this turned into All-Centaur month.
(Poor Cerea. A whole month to herself, and naturally it's the shortest.)
I'm predicting that March will have at least one more chapter for her: we need to get her into training, and the next stage of potential meetings has at least been set up. (This chapter was, in many ways, around 5300 words of setting up the future -- and part of that was in getting some ponies home at long last. Because we had reached the point where one commenter felt Cerea's first palace mission would be going out to recover the bodies.) But after that, Fleur needs her attention -- we're talking about Fleur: she can't hold out forever -- and I'm hoping to post a one-shot or two.
(Yes: I'm aware that people are waiting for something big to start. And I intend to -- but I'm picking the timing carefully, while trying to make sure I'm not juggling too many things at once. Multiple ongoing novel-length pieces isn't necessarily the best idea, and we're already at two. I need to see how stable things are (home and myriad of otherwises) before looking at a third.)
But this closes out February, because there are times when you know you've hit a chapter's break point. This was one of them. And in three years out of four, I would have barely gotten it posted before the calendar flipped.
This is a leap year.
February 29th exists.
I'm never sure what to do with that.
(But to 1/1461st of you, happy birthday.)
