And we will be going to four. April is now officially Anchor Foal month, and that's due to two factors: new cover art to show off one more time before the calendar flips, and a need to give this particular chapter its followup in a hurry.
What we have here is The Revenge Of The Natural Break Point. At 7400 words, I reached a point where I had two choices: stop on the spot, because that was the moment and mood which I wanted to close on -- or continue on for a very long time, which meant flipping into the aftermath. In this case, I felt it was best to close on the text equivalent of 'and scene' -- but at the same time, I think the story has to hustle into what happens next. Glimmer and DELWMG will get their attention in May: for April, this story has one more stage to resolve.
Oh, and as long as we're talking about cover art... for those who didn't see the relevant blog, Harwick has agreed to be commissioned for more art -- and that art is meant for a print run. I'm going to give him the first two paid requests by the end of this month: after that, additional covers will be commissioned at a bimonthly rate. (It's what I can afford -- if I'm very careful.) However, this can be sped up through my Ko-Fi page, which is currently (and for quite a bit of the foreseeable future) dedicating all tips to extra commissions. We're just about at Cover #3.
Yes, I said print run.
Yes, I have to wrestle with the formatting program.
...yes, I'm probably going to be posting a blog asking for formatting advice from those who've been there before.
...anyway, print run!
...yay?
