Some of you are going to hate me for ending it there.
Natural chapter breaks are a thing. So is cutting at the end of a scene, fading to black, and every other trick of film and text which gets used to say 'We need to stop for a little while.' When the story itself seems to be telling me where to place the last line, then that's where the final words of the chapter go. And if the next portion has to hold off until May -- well, we never did really work out whether it was a good idea for me to go for six post charges in a month.
So this is likely how April closes. 6000 words, and stopping there. And for that... I'm sorry. But I have to listen to what the story seems to be telling me.
Where else is a hack going to get advice? Grammarly?
