2022-07-26 09:29:48 +0000 UTCI appreciate that you understand Producer YG's (Papa YG) reactions during the assessments. He is brutally honest with his comments & expectations. So many reactors get a but triggered during this show. (To be honest Big Bang's formation and WIN, Who Is Next, selecting WINNER were even harder in many ways.) They don't see that he uses his form of "tough love" to get the best out of the boys, while also prepping them for the reality of being an "idol" and the sometimes vicious comments that come their way. Thanks so much for great reaction. (It is a bit cute that you are not recognizing the "baby" Treasures, lol.)

Just want to mention that ages in Korea are different because you are considered 1 year old at birth and then add another year when it’s News Years Day. So even if a child was born on Dec 31, they are considered 2 years old the very next day.. 1 day after being born. So everyone’s international ages are going to be 1-2 years younger than what they say on the show. For reference, the youngest Junghwan was 13, followed by 14 year old Haruto and Jeongwoo, Doyoung was 14 and turned 15 during filming, Yedam was 16, Asahi Jaehyuk and Mashiho 17, Junkyu Yoshi Jihoon 18, and Hyunsuk was 19. They were all so young and were pushed to their limits. You’ll see in the following episodes how brutal and competitive this show is. Especially ep 6&7!

They visited and evaluated more than 150+ trainees around the country and 3 trainees from YG joined the show. They are Hyunsuk, Byounggon and Junkyu. At the end Hyunsuk and Byounggon were part of the debut group and I was so happy back then because they both are my fav. I had to wait for their debut but that didn't happen and then YG Treasure box came.
