2025-05-15 09:19:07 +0000 UTCWhilst I question the accuracy of Egyptian record-keeping from the 1970s (this was during the downfall of the Socialist Republic Junta model and the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hosni Mubarak, so a lot of records from Universities I automatically conclude are lost to time because authoritarian regimes of the 1970s LOVED rounding up students as if they were Cattle for Kobe Beef preparation). The more relevant part of it all is the incumbent Governor of Tokyo(Yuriko Koike)'s refusal to honour the deaths of thousands of Zainichi Koreans during one of the worst race riots of the 1920s. Also, DON'T go to that bar, it's a fucking blatant grift. NEVER enter a Grifter's Bar. I don't care how good the drinks are, I advise all present and viewing on this site not to give grifters money, especially Political Grifters of any ideology.

2024-09-16 16:09:40 +0000 UTCSo from that, her vocabulary seems at least high school level, she does make mistakes but you can definitely get what she's saying, and that's just speaking, her reading and writing are probably better because I think Arabic is like Japanese and Mandarin in that its extremely difficult to sound like a native without being brought up with it. It really does seem reasonable to me that she could have at least gone to university, after 40 years of not using it it seems totally reasonable for her to have a bit of trouble with it.

2024-09-15 00:01:32 +0000 UTCAs a Jordanian, I would need a longer recording to confirm because the clip you showed is very short but from that clip I would say that she seems like a foreigner who has learnt arabic to a conversational level, she forgets a word but honestly I had to look it up in arabic because the equivalent word wouldn't come to me. I assume she very rarely uses it now so for how long its been I could believe that she could read and write back then but her speaking skills have gotten weaker, the Certificates also look legit. If you could send me a longer version of the clip I could tell you more.
