So! Here's a treat for you all, in the form of a grand experiment!
These black and white comics are reasonably rapid to do, I reasoned... so how quick would they be to animate?
Ihe answer is, not bad.
Not having to deal with the colour and shading layers does removed a few multipliers from the amount of effort required to animate, letting me concentrate more on the motion. And the panel-to-panel layout saves on transitional movements - which take about as long as loops themselves!
This does raise the question about how much a potential commissioner would be willing to pay for a comic like this. Now, animations are not exactly selling well right now as it is... I am curious to know what your thoughts are!
