Most arcane practitioners take great pride in their magical abilities, revelling in the respect and envy from those around them. Spymasters instead keep out of the spotlight, forgoing fame and fortune in favor of secrecy and espionage. Through an arsenal of duplicitous tactics, these wizards are capable of causing more damage overnight with their silver tongues and disguises than their peers could ever hope to with simple fireballs. By the time a target becomes aware of their unfortunate situation, the Spymaster is long gone, never to be seen again.
2nd level Spymaster feature
When you choose this school at 2nd level, you learn the Disguise Self spell, which you always have prepared and does not count against the number of spells you have prepared. You can cast this spell without expending a spell slot a number of times per long rest equal to your Intelligence modifier.
While under the effects of Disguise Self, you gain a bonus to your Deception and Persuasion checks equal to your Intelligence modifier.
2nd level Spymaster feature
At 2nd level, you gain the ability to conceal your magic from prying eyes and ears. You can choose to cast a Wizard spell from the Enchantment or Illusion schools without any somatic or verbal components a number of times per long rest equal to your Intelligence modifier.
6th level Spymaster feature
Few are guarded against magic they never saw coming. If you are hidden from a creature or a creature is not hostile towards you, it has disadvantage on saving throws it makes against spells you cast.
10th level Spymaster feature
When you take damage, you can cast a Wizard spell from the Enchantment or Illusion schools that has a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action as a reaction.
14th level Spymaster feature
Beginning at 14th level, you gain the following benefits.
Your shadowy magic always guards your physical form, causing attack rolls against you to have disadvantage. If you take damage, this feature ceases to function until the start of your next turn. This feature is suppressed while you are incapacitated, restrained, or unable to move.
While under the effects of the Disguise Self spell, you can’t be targeted by divination magic or perceived through magical scrying sensors. Additionally, you are unaffected by attempts to sense your emotions, thoughts, or memory.
