Though the creation of the Ballisteye is beyond most, retooling bits of their build into other applications proved simple enough. Unsurprisingly, smiths and weaponmakers became eager to acquire any Ballisteye scrap they could slap onto mundane weaponry and charge a premium for their troubles. Mechanus authorities took more care in the deployment of their drones in response, though pieces of machinery would still appear on the black market now and again.
