Weapon (scimitar / greateaxe), very rare
The severed skeletal arm of a voltaic darkbeast crafted into a weapon to wield against their kin. It folds into a slashing claw in the wielder’s hand, unfolding to create a long jagged greataxe. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon has 3 charges and regains all expended charges daily at dusk. Attacks from this weapon deal an additional 1d6 lightning damage as long as it has at least 1 charge remaining.
Trick Weapon. You can use a Bonus Action to transform this weapon from a scimitar to a greataxe or vice versa. The DCs for any Saving Throws using this weapon’s properties equal 8 plus the ability modifier used to make an attack with it plus your Proficiency Bonus. You can use the Transform Attacks of trick weapons a total number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus before finishing a short rest.
Darkbeast’s Roar. As a Bonus Action on your turn, you can spend 1 charge to embrace the fury of a raging Darkbeast. Each creature within 15 feet of you must make a Strength Saving Throw or be knocked back 10 feet as you become wreathed in a vortex of lightning. Until the end of your next turn, each of your attacks emit a 15-foot cone of claw-shaped lightning in the direction of the attack. Each creature within the cone must make a Dexterity Saving Throw or take 2d6 lightning damage and cannot take reactions until the end of their next turn. Creatures that fail their save by 5 or more are Stunned until the end of their next turn. A creature that succeeds takes half the damage and suffers no additional effects.
Crashing Claw (Transform Attack). After you make an attack with this item in its scimitar form, you can use your bonus action to transform it into a greataxe, immediately attacking with it. On a hit, the creature must make a Strength Saving Throw or be knocked prone.
Savage Grasp (Transform Attack). After you hit a creature with an attack with this item in its greataxe form, you can use your bonus action to transform it into a scimitar, immediately grappling the creature if it is no more than two sizes larger than you.
The Beast Scourge brought all manner of monsters upon the land, imbuing them with otherworldly powers. The sight of a Darkbeast, electrified fur standing on end, filled even the fiercest of hunters with dread. Their mighty blows, imbued with lightning, carved and charred their prey to a ruinous death. However, some of the more enigmatic tinkerers of the workshop, fascinated by these beasts’ voltaic nature, would attempt to harness this power for their fellow Hunters. As it turns out, lightning fells most of their own prey, beast or otherwise.
