Blinded by the obvious threat of the Plague of Beasts, many remain oblivious to the looming cosmic threat from beyond. The true source of the Plague, The Great Ones, dream our nightmares into existence. But even such unknowable creatures are prey to the basest desires we hold, craving newborns to continue their species. It is only with great sacrifice that a cosmic birth may be facilitated, and as we mere humans grow in power, sire and scion alike may fall prey to our endless pursuit of ascension.
