Hellspurs

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

A pair of five-pointed silver spurs burning with infernal fire. While attuned to these spurs, you are resistant to fire damage, and mounts you ride can move at an increased travel pace for twice as long before needing a short or long rest. These spurs have 6 charges and regain all expended charges at dusk.

Hellblazer. Whenever you roll a 6 three or more times on a single instance of Fire damage, double all fire damage dealt by that source.

Devil Take the Hindmost. You can use your bonus action to spend any number of charges to increase your speed or the speed of a creature you are riding by 5 feet per charge for 1 minute. For the duration, the chosen creature leaves behind a trail of hellish flames in each 5-foot space it moves through. When a creature other than you or your mount enters or starts its turn within 5 feet of the flames, they take 3d6 fire damage.

Hell on Hooves. You can spend 1 charge to cast the Find Steed spell (fiend only) without expending a spell slot. You can choose to spend additional charges to cast it at 1 level higher for each charge spent. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

The steed is resistant to fire damage. If cast at 6th level or higher, the steed’s Otherworldly Slam deals an additional 3d6 fire damage and its fly speed is increased by 30 feet.

You can dismiss the steed as a bonus action. These spurs do not regain charges spent to cast Find Steed while the steed remains summoned.

Legends tell of infernal riders blazing across the frontier, chasing down fiendish beasts and evildoers to drag down to the pits of the Nine Hells. Such stories are often dismissed as tall tales meant to strike fear into the hearts of would-be bandits and ne'er do wells, but like all legends there is some truth to them. Whispered accounts from desperados scared straight after watching their accomplices run down by blazing hooves or witnessing men being burned to ash by circles of hellfire.
