Scale Husk

A dormant husk of a False Scale, capable of absorbing the elemental properties wielded by Draconic creatures. You gain a +1 bonus to your AC while wielding this shield. This bonus increases to +2 against Dragons, and you gain an equivalent bonus to saving throws made against the abilities of Dragons.
Absorb. When you take Acid, Fire, Cold, Lightning, or Poison damage, or any damage dealt by a Dragonβs Breath Weapon, you can choose to gain resistance to that damage type while wielding this shield. You can only have one such resistance at a time, which lasts for 1 hour. Once you have used this property, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
The False Scale has a knack for absorbing draconic energy, and thus its remains can be quite useful when dealing with their greater cousins. Adventurers who harvest the intact shell of the dread mite can craft protective implements that absorb and protect against the elemental breath of dragons. Even in death, these comparably minuscule dragonkin can strike terror into the deadliest of wyrms.
