I made this sketch mostly to figure out what Max would be wearing, and I think I'll keep it like this for now! I'll do some more sketches of them and their relationship soon. ;33
EDIT: I forgot to add this little bit that my boyfriend wrote for this little scene.
'She throned on the treasure like a pirate queen, beaming equally at the brawny man fixing the tripod on the uneven earthy ground and at the scattered findings around them. Rick to her left knelt in the dust, grinning from ear to ear; not even the scorching sun could dampen his spirits after such a discovery. Lewis had firmly declined being in the first official photo, so now he worked behind the camera, draping the cloth over his head as he motioned for Max to pull her partner closer. The very moment the flash was triggered, however, Lewis captured an instance of Rick marvelling at Max, eyes glowing with silent admiration.'
