Added 2022-06-27 16:44:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone! So, you may have noticed that there's a really important conversation about paywalling within the sims community happening now. Since I have this patreon page, I want to be completely transparent with you all about the page and its purpose.
I will not paywall my content, ever, with no exceptions.
I use this page for one purpose, and one purpose only - to serve as a 'back-up' for my CC downloads, seeing as Simsfileshare is prone to bugging out from time to time. It's also a way to keep an archive of my downloads, complete with preview pictures and details, in the (hopefully unlikely) event that anything happens to my tumblr blog.
None of my content will ever be paywalled, in any form. This means that I do not charge to release things with 'early access', and all of my CC will always be available to download to anyone at any time. I strongly disagree with creators who permanently lock their content behind a paywall - i.e releasing patreon "exclusives" and only allowing paid supporters to download old CC etc etc. I will never, ever do this. Quite frankly, I think it's disgusting, and not something I ever want to be associated with. Making CC is fun for me. It's a hobby. It is not, nor will it ever be, a form of making money. 07/2023 update: this now also includes the new early access/paid content on Curseforge. Though I do upload my CC to curseforge, I will only continue to do so for free for everyone. I will not be utilising their new paid subscription schemes!
I hope this makes my position on paywalling/charging for CC crystal clear!
