Corrupt Personality Chart (Alpha 0.1)

Various effects within Quests of Change such as those brought out from various mind-altering demons and the Lesser Demon cursed class can provide a character with Corrupt Personality traits. When a corrupt trait is gained, you may choose one from this chart at random or the GM may decide if one is particularly fitting for a given scenario.

Corrupt Personality Traits:

Traitorous: You are prone to betrayal, backstabbing. and lying. You get +3 to all subtlety rolls made to lie or deceive others. However, if you make a promise or deal, you must roll 1d6, adding your resolve. if the total is ten or less, you are compelled to break that promise or deal within seven days. 

Cruel: You love to afflict pain on others, especially those already suffering. You add +1 to rolls made to hit a creature with less than its full HP and +1 to rolls made to hit a creature afflicted with a status ailment. However, if you attack a creature with all of hits HP that isn't afflicted with a status ailment, subtract -2 from your roll.

Shameless: You ignore mental penalties caused by your appearance. Additionally, you are incapable of feeling embarrassed. 

Dishonorable: You hate acting honorably and prefer utilizing underhanded tactics. When attacking a creature from behind, add +1d6 to your attack's damage. However, when attacking a foe from the front, reduce your roll to hit by -2.

Vicious: You can be notably brutal and can struggle containing your bloodthirst. Whenever you score a critical hit on a creature, your Strength increases by +2 for the next minute. However, your Mind and Resolve are both reduced by -2 for the next minute

Cold: You are emotionally distant and generally uncaring. When rolling against charming effects, add +2 to your roll. However if an effect produced by another creature would cause you to regain any amount of Will, you regain half as much instead.

Rude: When speaking, you care little about curtesy and tend to come across as unkind. Add +2 to all Diplomacy rolls made to intimidate others. However, reduce all other other Diplomacy rolls by -2.

Apathetic: You find it difficult to find any interest in most things, with the majority of topics boring you. When rolling against frightening effects, add +2 to your roll. However if an effect produced by another creature would cause you to regain any amount of Will, reduce the amount you would regain by 1d8

Malicious: You enjoy doing things that you know are morally wrong and harming others. Whenever you deal damage to a creature that hasn't attacked you in the past 24 hours, the attack deals an additional 1d8 damage.

Sadistic: You derive great pleasure from administering pain to others. Whenever you deal damage to another creature, you regain 1d6 Will. However, if an effect you produce would heal another creature, the amount of HP healed is reduced by 1d6.

Masochistic: You derive incredible pleasure from physical pain. Whenever your HP is reduced by damage from a spell or attack, you regain that much Will.

Egotistical: You have a massive ego, placing a significant priority on yourself over others. If you'd target yourself with an affect that would cause you to regain HP or Will, you regain an additional 1d6. However, if you target another creature with an effect that would cause them to regain HP or Will, the amount they'd gain is reduced by 1d6.

Narcistic: There isn't a single living person that you love more than yourself. If an effect would cause one of your stats to be temporarily improved that stat is improved by an additional +1. However, when using abilities and spells that would improve one or more of a target's stats, you cannot target creatures other than yourself.

Severely Greedy: You are consumed with an overwhelming sense of avarice. You cannot willingly sell items in your inventory, nor can you willing give items to other creatures.

Severely Prideful: You possess a severe sense of self importance. You cannot target creatures other than yourself with beneficial spells or effects.

Severely Gluttonous: You are driven to consume in excess, whether it be the likes of food or potions. Whenever you use a one-handed action to use or eat a consumable item, if you have more than one in your inventory, you must use one additional one-handed action to use another of this kind of item. If you only have one remaining hand's worth of actions, you cannot use consumable items.

Severely Envious: You covet all that belongs to others. Whenever you defeat a foe in combat, you must roll 1d8, adding your resolve. If the total is thirteen or less, the next action you take on either this turn or your following turn must be to add one item from that defeated creature's inventory to your inventory as a one-handed action.

Severely Lustful: You are driven by lust and sexual desire. If an effect would cause you to roll against being charmed, you automatically fail.

Severely Wrathful: You are driven by aggression and blind fury. In combat, once you've targeted a creature with a damaging spell, ability, or attack, you cannot target another creature with spells, offensive abilities, or attacks until that target is defeated or you can no longer see them.

Severely Slothful: You are incredibly lazy and loathe putting in effort. At the beginning of each of your turns, choose one of the following effects:
-You cannot move this turn
-You can only take one hand's worth of actions this turn
