Synthetic Stylist (Alpha 0.3)
Added 2023-02-22 06:51:41 +0000 UTCOne of the several types of mannequin-like constructs created by the Collector of Dolls, the role of Synthetic Stylists is to provide complimentary makeovers to those who may request them. Providing clothing, haircare, and makeup, unlike many of the other monsters within the manor that proactively seek out creatures to alter, Synthetic Stylists are are much more passive. This is largely in part due to these constructs being such a hot commodity for dolls, being constantly sought after by fully altered dolls that they rarely have the time to seek out others.
Though they appear comparable to many of the other mannequin-like constructs within the Manor, Synthetic Stylists can be noted by their notably grandiose outfits and jewelry.
Synthetic Stylists excel in altering the appearance of other creatures and their clothing, masterfully capable of using both traditional means and transformative magics. Each Synthetic Stylist is particularly gifted in creating looks of a given fashion style, providing dolls reason to seek out specific Synthetic Stylists. For example, while one Synthetic Stylist may specialize in royal attire befitting of luxurious parties, another may excel in the creation of dancing attire.
Though primarily found primarily within the shopping districts of the Collector's Manor, some of the most affluent and influential dolls such as the leaders of the twelve cliques have access to their own personal Synthetic Stylists.
There are inherent pros and cons to consider if a creature plans to allow itself to receive a makeover from one of these constructs. On one hand, these stylists completely do away with any and everything that creature is wearing, meaning any valuables should be stored safely away before an encounter with one of these stylists. Additionally, these Stylists firmly believe they know what is best for a creature's appearance and are not known to take requests. Furthermore, whenever a creature undergoes one of these extravagant makeovers, they run the risk of their mind taking on traits of the Stylist and other dolls, a nonfactor to enfranchised dolls.
However, not only can the luxurious pampering from these stylists actually provide a creature with heightened capabilities, the items provided by Synthetic Stylists often possess beneficial magical traits that can make them quite sought after.
It should be noted that while the makeovers they provide equips a creature with potentially cursed and corrupting clothing, as this makeover destroys the clothing previously equipped to a creature, it can be used to remove some cursed clothing that may be equipped to a creature. This leads to many seeking out these makeovers, consigning themselves to new outfits as a lesser of two evils if they'd been previously equipped with particularly detrimental cursed items.

One outfit created by the Synthetic Stylist
Abilities:
Feminine Personality: This creature has two personality traits; High Maintenance and one chosen by the GM from the Doll personality trait chart.
Collector's Caster: The Synthetic Stylist knows one spell within the Collector's Resplendent Archive (Legendary Magic Tome) and two spells from the Priest and/or Elementalist spell lists whose combined MP cost is no greater than 20.
Outfit Fabrication: As a one-handed action, the Synthetic Stylist manifests an outfit of the Stylist's specifications on a space adjacent to it. The space can be unoccupied or occupied by a mannequin or petrified creature.
Quick Makeover: As a two-handed action, the Synthetic Stylist can attempt to alter one element of an adjacent creature's appearance. If that creature has 7 or less speed, it is automatically affected. If that creature has 8-15 speed, it must roll 1d3, being affected on a roll of a 1 or 2. If the target has 16 or greater speed, it must roll 1d3, being affected on a roll of a 1. If a creature is affected, the Stylist chooses one of the following effects:
-The Synthetic Stylist changes the target's hair style and hair color.
-The Synthetic Stylist applies makeup in a style of its choice to the target.
-One non-magical piece of clothing worn by the target is replaced with a piece of clothing that the Stylist creates as part of this effect.
If a creature undergoes any of these effects, the effect cannot be undone unless the target undergoes a ritual of purification or if the Stylist spends a one-handed action to undo the effect.
Exquisite Makeover: The Stylist targets one adjacent willing or bound creature, providing them with an extravagant makeover that takes one hour to complete. If the Stylist is uninterrupted in this hour, the creature is affected in each of the following ways:
-The Synthetic Stylist changes the target's hair style and hair color.
-The Synthetic Stylist applies makeup in a style of its choice to the target.
-All equipment besides legendary items and living armor equipped to the creature is destroyed. The creature is then equipped with three items of the Stylists creation. For each item equipped to a creature this way, roll 1d3. On a roll of a 1, the item is cursed and can't be removed by creatures with non-doll class levels, the Collector of Dolls, or Synthetic Stylists. On a roll of a 3, choose three combat and/or utility stats. While wearing that piece of clothing, that creature adds 1d4 to all rolls made using that given stat.
Additionally, once this makeover concludes, each of that creature's combat and utility stats increase by +1. That creature then gains a girly charge and rolls 1d4. On a roll of 1, that creature gains one of the Synthetic Stylist's personality traits. The minimum number needed to gain a trait this way increases by +1 for each time a creature has been targeted with Exquisite Makeover.
